The Crow and the Pitcher

The Crow and the Pitcher is one of the Ancient Greek storyteller Aesop’s most beloved fables. A timeless story with an industrious bird at its heart, one that teaches us that brute force is no substitute for quick thinking! Upon finding a pitcher of water out in the wilderness, a thirsty Crow uses his ingenuity and resolve to reach the replenishing liquid within. With a beak too short, the Crow drops stones in the pitcher to raise the water level and take a drink.
